Terms of service
Last updated: 26 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Nestr: the Nest dashboard, the hosted Pellets registry and related services.
1. Who you are contracting with
Nestr is provided by Devarno Ltd, 29 New Caledonian Wharf, 6 Odessa Street, SE16 7TN, company number 15040535. If you use Nestr on behalf of an organisation, you accept these terms for that organisation.
2. Plans
- Community — free. Every organisation starts on Community: verification rules identical to paid plans, never capped; quarantine, provenance and diff screens are previews with sample data; the dashboard and a read view of registry namespaces; one member (the owner); and 50 hosted compressions and 50 hosted operations per calendar month (UTC). An open-source
nestrCLI and self-hosting are planned for later. - Early Access — US$99 per organisation per month, billed monthly, excluding VAT, offered to the first 10 organisations as a design-partner seat. Annual billing is not offered yet. Included today: organisation invites and members, security-record history (90 days) with JSON export, a namespace claim on registry.nestr.tools by DNS proof, and a monthly feedback call. The following are provided when shipped and are not part of the subscription until then: namespace hosting and publishing, dashboard review screens on live data, the
nestrCLI, email support with a 48-hour response, and a 12-month price lock. Fair use: up to 3 namespaces and 25 members per organisation. - Enterprise — by quote, under a separate written agreement: everything in Early Access and negotiated service levels, with single sign-on (planned) and a self-hosted transparency log (planned).
3. Pre-release service and known limitations
Nestr is pre-general-availability. Known limitations, including security requirements that are not yet met, are published on our Security page. By subscribing you acknowledge that list. There is no uptime or service-level commitment on Community or Early Access.
4. Billing, taxes and refunds
- Payments are processed by Polar as merchant of record. Prices exclude VAT and other applicable taxes, which are added at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- 30-day refund: you may request a full refund within 30 days of your first payment by emailing hello@nestr.tools. Later renewals are not refunded; cancel before the next renewal to stop being charged. A refund ends Early Access for the organisation straight away and returns it to Community.
5. Cancellation and lapse
You can cancel at any time; access to paid features continues to the end of the paid period. When a subscription lapses, hosted features (hosted namespace, dashboard, invites, support) are removed. A lapsed subscription never changes how verification works: paying does not grant extra trust, and not paying does not weaken it.
Cancelling does not delete your account or your organisation’s data; you keep Community access. You can ask for a copy of your data at any time, including after you cancel, by emailing hello@nestr.tools from the email address on your account. We will send it to that address as JSON files within 30 days. To have your account and data deleted instead, see section 7 of our Privacy policy. When you ask for your account to be deleted, we delete its data and the data of organisations you are the only owner of within 30 days, except billing records (kept as tax law requires) and transparency-log entries (kept permanently). Usage counts are kept for 13 months and then deleted.
6. Publishing and the transparency log
Pellets you publish, and their transparency-log entries, are append-only by design (specification requirement PEL-LOG-005). Yanking a pellet adds a new entry; it does not remove the original. You are responsible for what you publish and must have the right to publish it.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Nestr to:
- publish malware or deliberately hostile packages;
- squat, impersonate or confuse namespaces belonging to others;
- attack, overload or probe the service without permission;
- break the law or infringe the rights of others.
We may suspend accounts that breach these rules.
8. Warranties and liability
- As is. Nestr is pre-release (section 3) and is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, conditions and terms not set out in these terms, including those implied about satisfactory quality and fitness for a particular purpose.
- Cap. Our total liability to you arising from or in connection with Nestr, in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the fees you paid us for Nestr in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
- Indirect loss. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
- Indemnity. If you use Nestr for a business, you will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from what you publish through Nestr or from your breach of section 7.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
9. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising from or in connection with them or Nestr (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and if you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory law of the country where you live.
10. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date at the top. For material changes we will notify account holders by email before they take effect.
